Village of Qustan
This village is situated half an hour north of Hah and during the massacres, there were about 120 families living in the village and their leader was Yohannon, from the Gawriye family.
Before the raid on Hah, the Kurdish leader Hadgo told them that the Muslims are going to surround them and attack them and once they attack, they cannot save themselves from the attackers so they better flee the village and go to Hah and urged to as quickly as possible, before the Kurds came. So the villagers started to go, taking anything that they could carry, and they reached Hah safely. They remained in Hah during the time of the massacre, until unrest and persecution was over. Then they went their way to the villages of Tur Abdin and worked for the Muslims. Their wage was their daily bread. After seven years, they returned to their village and stayed to live a long time.
