Future Projects and Initiatives
Syriac Heritage Visualization Initiative: In this initiative, we will produce videos featuring many topics from the Syriac Heritage such as the Syriac Fathers, Syriac Monasteries, Syriac Art, etc. These videos will be based on published academic work about these topics assembled in presentations and both the videos and presentations will be available free of charge online and uploaded on the Syriac Heritage Project YouTube channel @syriacheritageproject. This initiative started in May 2025 and it’s still ongoing.
The first video features the Syriac Scholarship in Mathematics and Sciences.
Syriac Monasteries and Settlements Topography Initiative: In this initiative, we will collect information and document all the Syriac settlements and monasteries that are known to us since the beginning of Christianity in the Near East and connect them to the Syriac settlements that were in existence just before the beginning of WWI. The documentation will be both written and visual. Status: Ongoing
Sayfo Documentation Initiative: In this initiative, we will document all the atrocities of Sayfo, the Syriac Genocide, in one central repository whether these memories were written, visual, or auditory. This project is ongoing and potentially might increase in size to require establishing a standalone Sayfo website. Status: Ongoing
Update and Expand: Add new content and update www.syriacheritageproject.org website to offer more knowledge about the Syriac Heritage. The goal is to make this website and its educational and research products a trusted source of information and a repository for all the information about the Syriac Heritage and people and keep the information accessible to all Syriac people and researchers of future generations.
