There were four small districts (kaza): Damascus, Baalbek, Hasbaya, and Rashaya.

• Hama sub-District (Sanjak):

There were four small districts (kaza): Hama, Salamiyah, and Homs.

• Hauran sub-District (Sanjak):

There were thress small districts (kaza): Al-Hauran, Al-Suwayda, Al-Karak, and Quneitra. 

• Ma'an sub-District (Sanjak):

There were three small districts (kaza): Ma'an, Tafilah, and Aqaba.
